"Cold War Silly Putty"

Film: The Space Children (1958)

Alias: None

Type: Alien

Location: Cave

Height/Weight: Grows to that of a pontiac.

Affiliation: Good

Summary: What's this? An alien that wants to end a potential cataclysm on Earth non-violently? How? Oh, well, no need to waste our good for-wait, children are working for it? Oh, joy.

History: No one knows why the brain came from a beam of light from space towards a beach on Earth, but its intentions were clear. The world was about to end the Cold War by force, with plenty of nuclear weapons across the world ready to fire. The brain wouldn't let Earth destroy itself, so it decided to form a collective consciousness with the only thing that wouldn't resist its control: children.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: The brain is successful in getting the children of the world to stop the apocalypse, and departs in the same beam of light it came from.

Powers/Abilities: The brain can alter people's minds and/or control them, and can telekinetically destroy things as strong as rock.

Weakness: Unknown, probably none.

Scariness Factor: 1.5-This space alien was only trying to help us, and it only proves that adults are kind of useless. Then again, it wouldn't have to hurt anyone if it just used a child to explain its motives more clearly. Aside from that, it's not evil and it looks like a melted ball of cheese.

Trivia: -It took $3,300 worth of neon lights to create the glowing effect of the brain.

-This film was loosely based on an unpublished story, "The Egg".

Don't worry. Peace didn't go right out the window here.

Godzilla's dung?

"A blob of nothing! AHHH!"

"Child, change your attire. This is getting awkward."
The mystic head forgets too late that the rocket is a tad too close...

A moment of cosmic enlightenment.
